Chris started working in the Music Business 20 years ago with his father Robin Phillips who produced Grandstand,Count Down,Ski Sunday and News at Ten to name a few. He trained as a tape op in London under the guidance of his father before emerging as an Engineer. He has produced over 30 Albums for different record companies and publishers over the years. Focusing on music for Film and television.
Ben Thackeray is a producer, engineer and mixer, who has worked on a broad spectrum of music in his twenty year career. Originally from Brighton, Ben moved to London in the mid-nineties and found work at Mayfair studios where as an assistant, he worked alongside some of the best producers and engineers such as Nigel Godrich, Jim Abbiss, Tom Elmhirst and Tony Hoffer and on some of the biggest-selling records at the time including Coldplay’s Rush Of Blood To The Head and Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac.
Ben left Mayfair in 2003 to become a freelance engineer and has since worked with a wide range of artists including Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, My Bloody Valentine, Jamie Cullum, Engineers, The Happy Mondays, Rachel Zeffira and more recently Steve Mason and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Since relocating to Brighton a few years ago, Ben has moving towards production and recently produced, recorded and mixed The Dials critically acclaimed album That Was The Future.
Nick has been working in studios for thirty years. He started at Milo Music as an assistant, worked as an engineer and then became the Studio Manager before becoming the managing director and building the group that is today known as Miloco Studios, of which he is still a shareholder.
In 2018 Nick restarted independent record label Pussyfoot Records with partner Howie B, along with a publishing company called Pussyfoot Songs. He also manages a couple of mix engineers, producers and a couple of artists.
When he has the odd bit of spare time Nick has been known to run the odd ultra marathon and can often be found somewhere on the South Downs.
